Mail Filter

Customer Service 0800 653 309

Mail Filter is a service applied to 3rd party data to be used for acquisition purposes and in conjunction with an offer of credit

Mail Filter enables credit providers to target prospects who are less likely to be declined for credit reasons and less likely to be an unacceptable ongoing credit risk.

Mail Filter also:

  • reduces wasted application processing costs,
  • decreases account acquisition costs,
  • minimizes brand damage caused by offering and then declining credit, and
  • provides a credit acquisition capability which balances the needs of marketing and credit risk management.

Mail Filter criteria can be generic, comprised of a basic set of rules commonly used across the industry. However, the closer the Mail Filter criteria mirror a lender's application policy rules and scorecards, the better the campaign approval rates achieved.

Mail Filter can be used to support variations in product offerings, such as conditional pre-approval to low risk client and prospect pools, which ultimately drive campaign performance.

The following components are available to clients for Mail Filter

  • Derogatories only
  • Filtering of all records containing bankruptcies, judgments, writs and defaults.
  • Specified levels of derogatory filters
  • Filtering by predefined Derogatories for example, paid defaults or perhaps defaults of a certain value or industry type (financial or telco).
  • Credit Scorecard emulation
  • The Credit Bureau component of a scorecard only or full application scorecard (Veda is unlikely to hold every variable used in the application scorecard, but the application score can be modelled using all data available to Veda, which produces a robust estimate)

Mail Filter is subject to the Credit reporting Privacy Code 2004.
